Glenn A. Johansen
President and CEO
Since founding LightRiver Technologies in 1998, Glenn Johansen has grown the company to be North America’s largest multi-vendor transport systems integrator for independent network operators with over 100 clients. As President and CEO, Glenn leverages 20 years of experience in telecommunications with a deep understanding of his clients’ business to drive LightRiver’s strategy and business partners as well as manage relationships with the company’s anchor clients. Under his guidance LightRiver has been recognized with numerous industry and partner awards including multiple Top Vendor Awards, and is readily recognized as a leader in its field and a fierce advocate for its customers.
Prior to LightRiver, Glenn served in various marketing, sales, market development and management roles at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, where he was nominated for the prestigious Leadership Continuity Program for top executives and was awarded the Summit of Excellence Award, Lucent’s top accolade, for business innovation and sales leadership. Glenn began his career as an Aerospace Engineer at Singer-Kearfott where he helped pioneer the development and manufacturing of Laser Gyroscopes for Inertial Navigation Systems.
Glenn received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from Northeastern University. Glenn served on the Utilities Telecom Council’s inaugural Smart Networks Council Board of Directors.
Michael P. Jonas
President Global Customer Operations
With LightRiver Technologies since 2003, Mike is responsible for all customer facing corporate business and technology development, including strategic marketing and sales in all areas, Systems and Sales Engineering and the Network Factory and Field Operations teams for network delivery via our Factory Built Network® process.
Mike has founded, built and run several companies during his career, both public and private, and has been successful in applying new software, hardware, communications and manufacturing technologies, methods and services to the needs of his clients. This background provides a deep understanding of the challenges faced by independent network operators and service providers and the value in identifying unique solutions to aid in their growth.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Steven Institute of Technology as well as an MBA.
Dean L. Campbell
Chief Technology Officer
With LightRiver since 2004, as Chief Technology Officer, Dean is responsible for the development of LightRiver’s product and technology solutions portfolio, translating complex solutions into clear value propositions relevant to LightRiver markets. He leads the Pre-sales Engineering and the Project Management teams and maintains technical relationships with LightRiver’s vendor partners. Throughout his career, Dean’s focus on technology as an enabler has always been paired with the recognition that the human side of the equation is equally important.
Dean brings over 20 years of IT management, software applications development, and large-scale data-networking experience to LightRiver, has held leadership roles across the technology value chain, and was a pioneer in the development of E-commerce infrastructures, working with established and start-up organizations.
Dean holds a BA in Computer Sciences from Rutgers University, as well as multiple technology certifications including, but not limited to, Carrier Ethernet Professional and PMP Project Management.
Sr. VP, Global Services & Quality Initiatives
With LightRiver Technologies since 2003, Dave is responsible for ensuring best practices are utilized in everything we do, ensuring the highest quality experience possible.
Dave has 30+ years in the telecom industry with Western Electric, AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent in operations and contracting services. He boasts technology and management experience with installation support teams and managers on AT&T, SBC and commercial customers within the Pacific regional area. Dave’s project management skills supported 5ESS, transport, power and OSP equipment and service deployments. Dave is very skilled in installation activities and industry requirements such as support products, quality, safety, service protection and scheduling.
Senior Vice President of Sales
Walt Paskowski joined LightRiver in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Sales focused on Utility, Transit, State & Local Government, Public Safety and Research & Education market verticals. He brings over 20 years of experience driving client-centric, mission-critical technology and business solutions, sales leadership and bottom line revenue contributions to LightRiver and its customers from best-of-breed transport equipment manufacturers, like Alcatel-Lucent and Harris Corporation. Walt has a background in Finance, Manufacturing, Operations and Sales.
Walt has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Strayer University and another Bachelor of Science in Finance & Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
Vice President of Finance & Operations
Dean Scotch joined LightRiver in 2017 as Vice President of Finance & Operations to lead the Administrative functions of LightRiver focusing on financial visibility, clear and directed information reporting and overall operational efficiency. He leads the Financial reporting and Operations teams that process all orders, inventory, equipment tracking and provide financial reporting and systems support throughout the Company. He also maintains investor relationships, external reporting, and institutional banking.
Dean brings over 20 years of Financial and Operations management from a diverse set of technology industries and has held leadership roles in multiple startup and emerging growth companies helping them develop the processes and strategies needed to achieve their potential. Throughout his career, Dean has focused on creating value added processes and information and integrating those throughout organizations to help make responsible, informed decisions.
Dean holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting from the University of Oregon and a CPA (inactive). He has presented accounting policy and procedure best practices at multiple seminars specializing in technology companies in the San Francisco bay area.
President, LightRiver Software
LightRiver Software President Mike Leddy is responsible for overseeing daily operations as well as for the strategy and future direction both of the company and of its flagship product, netFLEX®.
Prior to joining LightRiver, Mike co-founded Unique Computer Service in 1990, Mike also founded and ran Softek, Inc., a consulting services company aimed at the telecommunications market. Before starting Softek, he worked for five years as a computer programmer/system designer at AT&T Long Lines focusing on teleconferencing, 800 Services, and network element communications.
Mike holds a degree in decision science and computers from Rider University.
Executive Vice President, LightRiver Software
Prior to joining LightRiver, Jim co-founded Unique Computer Service in 1990. Jim was a consultant to AT&T Bell Laboratories for seven years before co-founding Unique, where he was involved with several network management solutions development programs. Before that, he worked for seven years as a computer programmer/system designer at AT&T Long Lines.
Jim holds a degree in computer science from Brooklyn College.
Chief Operating Officer, LightRiver Software
With LightRiver Software since 2018, as Chief Operating Officer, Travis is responsible for scaling the business while further enhancing the netFLEX application framework as well as overall customer experience. He leads business and strategy development, marketing, strategic sales, systems engineering, customer support, and operations for LightRiver Software.
Travis brings a 20+ year history as a transformational champion of network programmability and control. A network technologist since 1994, Travis has focused on network architecture, technology strategy, and network software development exclusively since 2008, in executive positions at multiple Global Service Providers. Over this time period, Travis led the development of many industry firsts for network and service automation and on-demand or adaptive use cases as made available to the Operation or directly to End Customers.
Travis holds a BS Construction Engineering Management from Oregon State University.
Senior Vice President, Cloud and Strategic Sales
Aleck Gilner joined LightRiver in 2019 as Senior Vice President of sales focused on the Cloud / Data Center and Tier 1 Service Provider Verticals. Aleck, being a lifetime telecom veteran, brings a deep optical networking background and a history of building highly successful sales teams as well as a reputation as a client advocate.
He started his career at Bell South prior to climbing through various equipment technology, technical sales and leadership positions, initially with Nortel and Redback and later with emerging vendors like Movaz, ADVA and BTI Systems, the first to purpose build optical products for the Internet Content market. Aleck most recently served as Senior Managing Director – Global Solutions and Business Transformation at Juniper Networks.
Aleck resides in Denver and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech.
