Glenn A. Johansen
President and CEO
Since founding LightRiver Technologies in 1998, Glenn Johansen has grown the company to be North America’s largest multi-vendor transport systems integrator for independent network operators with over 100 clients. As President and CEO, Glenn leverages 20 years of experience in telecommunications with a deep understanding of his clients’ business to drive LightRiver’s strategy and business partners as well as manage relationships with the company’s anchor clients. Under his guidance LightRiver has been recognized with numerous industry and partner awards including multiple Top Vendor Awards, and is readily recognized as a leader in its field and a fierce advocate for its customers.
Prior to LightRiver, Glenn served in various marketing, sales, market development and management roles at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, where he was nominated for the prestigious Leadership Continuity Program for top executives and was awarded the Summit of Excellence Award, Lucent’s top accolade, for business innovation and sales leadership. Glenn began his career as an Aerospace Engineer at Singer-Kearfott where he helped pioneer the development and manufacturing of Laser Gyroscopes for Inertial Navigation Systems.
Glenn received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from Northeastern University. Glenn served on the Utilities Telecom Council’s inaugural Smart Networks Council Board of Directors.
Michael P. Jonas
President Global Customer Operations
With LightRiver Technologies since 2003, Mike is responsible for all customer facing corporate business and technology development, including strategic marketing and sales in all areas, Systems and Sales Engineering and the Network Factory and Field Operations teams for network delivery via our Factory Built Network® process.
Mike has founded, built and run several companies during his career, both public and private, and has been successful in applying new software, hardware, communications and manufacturing technologies, methods and services to the needs of his clients. This background provides a deep understanding of the challenges faced by independent network operators and service providers and the value in identifying unique solutions to aid in their growth.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Steven Institute of Technology as well as an MBA.
Dave Courtney
Sr. VP, Global Services & Quality Initiatives
With LightRiver Technologies since 2003, Dave is responsible for ensuring best practices are utilized in everything we do, ensuring the highest quality experience possible.
Dave has 30+ years in the telecom industry with Western Electric, AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent in operations and contracting services. He boasts technology and management experience with installation support teams and managers on AT&T, SBC and commercial customers within the Pacific regional area. Dave’s project management skills supported 5ESS, transport, power and OSP equipment and service deployments. Dave is very skilled in installation activities and industry requirements such as support products, quality, safety, service protection and scheduling.
Michael Leddy
President, LightRiver Software
LightRiver Software President Mike Leddy is responsible for overseeing daily operations as well as for the strategy and future direction both of the company and of its flagship product, netFLEX®.
Prior to joining LightRiver, Mike co-founded Unique Computer Service in 1990, Mike also founded and ran Softek, Inc., a consulting services company aimed at the telecommunications market. Before starting Softek, he worked for five years as a computer programmer/system designer at AT&T Long Lines focusing on teleconferencing, 800 Services, and network element communications.
Mike holds a degree in decision science and computers from Rider University.
Bryan Hasegawa
Chief Financial Officer, LightRiver
As Chief Financial Officer of LightRiver, Bryan Hasegawa offers extensive finance, accounting and M&A experience having held key leadership roles in multinational public companies such as L’Oréal USA, Tribune and Nielsen. He most recently served as VP of Strategic Finance at Intermedia, a PE backed cloud-based unified communications provider.
In his new position at LightRiver, Bryan aims to lead and develop the Finance and Accounting divisions while executing a profitable growth strategy for the company.
Bryan graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts – History and an MBA from ESADE Business School.
Scotty Benda
Chief Product Officer, LightRiver
Scotty Benda joins LightRiver as Chief Product Officer to lead the network pre-sales engineering, Factory Built Networks® and netFLEX® customer operations teams. As Chief Product Officer, Scotty brings to his position over 30 years’ experience in product development, sales engineering, customer service and executive leadership from his time at Nortel, Lucent, ONI Systems and Ciena. In his new position at LightRiver, Scotty’s passion for emerging technology, engaging approach and ability to envision future proof solutions will help customers to evolve their existing networks into profitable performance optimized networking solutions.
Scotty holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from North Carolina State University. Scotty and his wife Carol live in Roswell, GA outside of Atlanta, where they enjoy hiking with their Black Lab Auggie, outdoor concerts, motorcycle touring, sporting events, and visits from their 4 adult children.
Matt Briley
Senior Vice President, Sales
Matt Briley leads the LightRiver sales teams for all end user operator markets, including service providers, cloud and data centers, and verticals. In this role he manages his team to help companies automate, modernize, and better monetize their communications networks. His background includes overseeing the Optical Networking business for Nokia in North America, equipment sales and engineering roles at Infinera and Ciena where he acquired and grew business in accounts across multiple geographies and business sectors. With more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry Matt possesses a diverse and compressive view of the network and where it is heading.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. Matt and his family live in Heath TX, outside Dallas, where they enjoy biking, sporting clays, golf, and Jeeping.
Kevin Driscoll
Vice President, Strategic Sales
Kevin Driscoll brings 25 years of experience building, coaching, and leading sales teams, in all aspects of modern networking and software control of the same, to LightRiver. From his time as a senior sales leader at Fujitsu, ECI, Ribbon and most recently, DZS – Kevin brings a solid history in core optical, all layers of packet, radio, coaxial and optical access as well as multi-layer software control and operations for service provider and large enterprise network operators in North America. Kevin has even delved into microwave transport and undersea cable projects over his career in the telecommunications industry.
Kevin’s professional work-life began serving on active duty in the United States Army after studying Computer Science at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Residing in Frisco, Texas, both he and his wife Cyndé are proud of their three adult children.
