Concord, CA – November 5, 2019 – LightRiver, the premier optical network integration solution provider for next generation, multi-vendor, Factory Built Networks® and netFLEX®, Transport Domain Orchestration and Control Software solutions, announces today that the company is a finalist for the 2019 MEF Awards in the ‘Technology Solutions – Service Assurance’ category for LightRiver’s netFLEX® Optical Assurance Automation solution; and for the 2019 Fierce Innovation Awards – Telecom Edition, in the ‘Network Test and Measurement’ category for LightRiver’s intelligent Factory Built Network (iFBN)TM solution.
The 2019 MEF Awards Technology Solution – Service Assurance Award recognizes an industry-leading technology vendor who has demonstrated excellence and innovation with regard to assurance of MEF 3.0 / CE services. Recognized by MEF, LightRiver’s netFLEX® Platform is a multi-vendor, multi-technology, and multi-generation Optical Domain Controller within a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) reference model architecture.
The Fierce Innovation Awards is a peer reviewed awards program from the publisher of FierceWireless and FierceTelecom. The competition highlights the advances in service and equipment developments unveiled during the past 12 months. Recognized by Fierce, LightRiver’s iFBN solution offers a turnkey approach to network implementation and provides a comprehensive suite of testing, performance management, and automated maintenance.
LightRiver’s iFBN is the integration of two LightRiver products: The Factory Built Network® and the netFLEX platform. The iFBN process utilizes netFLEX Analytics to capture all critical network performance data at the time of network Factory Build in an ideal environment, and then the data is captured again via netFLEX at the completion of field installation to baseline optimum performance as leveraged thereafter.

The Fierce Innovation Award winners will be announced in the 2019 Innovation Report set to publish by FierceWireless on Thursday, November 14th.
