LightRiver Software’s industry-leading netFLEX® automation platform simplifies and improves the operation of the optical networks that are the foundation of the Internet. We’re working on the next evolution of that software to reach to new users and are looking to create a new kind of platform and app ecosystem. This role will create and deliver functional and appealing features and experiences that address our clients’ needs, differentiate LightRiver within the industry, and make network automation technologies easy to understand and use.
Essential Functions
You will be responsible for interpreting and executing high fidelity interface designs in the creation of new multiplatform networking web-based apps. You must be able to effectively communicate and work closely with the back-end services team and be comfortable dealing with a large data set efficiently as well as communicate and collaborate with business stakeholders and designers. This individual loves to code and makes it a priority to stay current with industry best practice and will bring that knowledge to the team which is based out of historic Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ, where inspiration is a lifestyle.
- Develop and maintain web applications using Vue.js and TypeScript
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement new features and functionality
- Write clean, efficient, modular, and well-documented code
- Test and debug code to ensure proper functioning of the application
Required Qualifications and Technical Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 1+ years of professional experience building web applications (including single-page apps) with JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS3
- Experience with Vue and/or React as well as nodeJS & Typescript
- Experience building modular, commercial-grade applications dealing with large data sets
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility including mobile
- Experience leveraging frameworks and writing unit tests
- Experience leveraging dependency management and task automation frameworks
- Experience integrating RESTful Web Services with JSON outputs to populate UI modules
- Experience providing relatively accurate estimations of complexity and time of an engineering effort
- Experience building PWA’s (Progressive Web Apps)
Salary Range
Range of $75k – $80k
